Why would you ever want to switch to 3rd person? So you can see all of your characters janky-ass animations?

Wouldn't care regardless because I have PlayStation, not Xbox.

I've always played in 1st person.

I always play Elder Scrolls and Fallout games in first person anyways.

I've always thought people who play Bethesda games in third person are psychopaths but, I'm on PC, I will have third person mode.

I play the games mostly in first person, but it'd obviously be a bad design decision for a number of reasons. I do think the lack of third person would absolutely make the game worse.

skyrim is 10x more fun in 3rd person with true directional movement and dodge rolls
plugged in a 2h moveset on my last requiem run, and it was probs the most fun i've ever had in elder scrolls

There'd be a mod for that eventually.

And frankly, once someone makes a version of CBBE/3BA/TBD/whatever body replacer, HDT-SMP physics, and OStim NG for it, you'll DEFINITELY want third-person.

Not that I would know, of course. <_<;
