Ps is better for single player games imo. Xbox has a lot more multiplayer options

Well you specifically mentioned the network and live

ie multiplayer.

so Xbox, if I had to guess. But no idea what the market is like in other countries.

In the CMA report, Microsoft said that PlayStation has double the monthly active users (MAUs) of Xbox.

Considering how the recent financial report put the PlayStation Network MAUs at 112 million, Xbox probably has around 50-55 million MAUs.

If you expand it to free live accounts for games like Minecraft or whatever the gap would be closer.

PSN has more total users because they have a far bigger player base. PSN has been trash forever but the player base is bigger

PSN has more LIFETIME users as far back as the PS3 era but whether they are active or not is completely irrelevant now since the most popular online games have crossplay matchmaking between consoles and PC.
