After 8 wonderful years of working 4/10s and having 3 day weekends, today is my last Friday off. I'll be starting a new job on Monday and going back to Mon-Fri.

It was great while it lasted, but all things must come to an end.

Let us take a moment to remember all the good times of daytime drinking, playing video games and shitposting on CE.

Obviously I can and will, but having 3 day weekends for so long has been awesome. It's sad to see it coming to an end.

3 day weekends are nice. But depending on what you do, and how you travel. You can easily spend 12-14 hours those 4 days being busy. Which was my case.

My commutes are always short. I don't drive, so I always get jobs that are at the most 20 min walking distance.

Sorry to hear about your buddy, Goats, though. He just keeps getting suspended and banned.

Im always surprised to hear people say how much they like four 10-hour days. I did it for a few months and I hated it. Getting home around 7:00 and having to wake up at 5:00 made me feel like I had no time on any days but my days off. But I also had Wednesday, Thursday, Friday off so maybe if it was Friday, Saturday, Sunday, it wouldve been better but still. Im much happier now having every afternoon off in addition to my two days.

I loved the 4 day weeks. A very short commute helps though. 10 minutes after punching out at the end of the day I'm on my couch with a beer in hand.

I wasn't even looking for a new job but one kinda fell in my lap because of my friend.

My job wasn't bad but I was pretty burnt out on it. I only did it because I have to have a job and I really liked 3 day weekends.

I wanna do something new. Although it's not really new because I've done it before, but you know what I mean.
