I mean, I would acknowledge that it was a flawed system if asked when I was younger and had about 8% body fat and was considered overweight. But I wouldnt go on about it, because nobody who could actually see me was going to tell me I was fat.

BMI is an indicator, not a hard and fast rule. It probably would've made prime Arnie come out as obese when he clearly wasn't.

Agreed, I always get a chuckle from people on these boards because of it. It seems like every other poster on here says that BMI is a bad indicator, when it's perfectly fine for 90+% of people (i.e. people who aren't super tall, super short, or super swole)

Must be a lot of 5'7" 250lb people on here trying to make themselves feel better lol

Pretty much this-- and I say that as a fat guy.

It's not 5'7" that's the problem range. It's over 6'2.
I had a friend who was 6'5" 250 and was falsely labeled obese by his BMI when he was actually tall and lanky.

Most people arent that jacked.

I'm at a decent weight and I talk shit about the bmi.
Iike right now I weigh less by a decent amount than I did 5 years ago but I was in far better shape back them cause my job was hard physical labor. I was just as skinny but weighed like 40 pounds more.

I'm 5'10 and a half roughly and ibwas told 170 was overweight for me. Most peopl3 who actually know me think I could stand to gain a little weight.
