Does entertainment have a use value?

It's a kid movie so of course adults aren't going to tell other adults to watch it. if you are trying to kill the dreamer in your child you might avoid it, I guess.

Lol. I don't know what you're saying. People who didn't like it weren't entertained by it (obviously), and found it to be a killer of the "dreamer in their child" instead of the opposite. That's why they didn't like it.

You keep using the word objectively

Objective and subjective are opposites. Objective information is based on unbiased facts, whereas subjective information is based on opinion and conjecture.2 An opinion, by its very definition, is subjective because it is a personal view on a subject which might have other possibilities. If we say an opinion is objective, it technically no longer is an opinion because personal interpretation has been removed.

I have literally no clue why you continue to be in the delusion that I don't know what "objective" means.

It's weird.

Well you keep using it wrong so I guess I just assumed you didnt know what it meant. Are you using it wrong on purpose? Is that like, your ce gimmick?

Except I'm not using it wrong so. I guess re-read my posts and ask specifically what you are having trouble with.

For example, most people think The Shawshank Redemption and Citizen Kane are objectively the best movies ever made. And I respect that and all, but I personally didn't like either.

This flick I'm saying (which isn't news or anything) that most people found it objectively (meaning on basis of observable facts, not feelings or someting) to be mediocre at best,

Is there anything in the bolded that sounds like I have a different understanding on what the word means? If not, might you tell me what's with you quoting the definition? And why did you say "to infinity and beyond" after doing that? (Which was odd).

I mean, if giving you the actual definition showing that youre using it wrong wont make you see, I dont think anything will

is English not your first language? That would make a lot of sense

I think an objectively well made product doesnt cause fantasizing, is what I mean. It's why power fantasies are considered bad writing.

When something is objective it means it doesn't make the person will something that isn't the case, I think.

Not watching that garbage.

They missed a perfectly good opportunity to carry on the established Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.

I remember being obsessed with that movie.

Are you gonna point the part which shows that I did? If not shut the fuck up already.

Lol don't know what that means but I enjoyed reading it though.

Anyway, what I am saying is a product can be judged both objectively and subjectively, they arent' mutually exclusive. And yes there is such thing as an objectively good film, as the examples I just gave.
I don't like Shawshank Redemption (subjectively), but I can also agree that it is objectively a greatly made film.

In the amount of time you people have been arguing you could've watched this mediocre movie which still would have been a much better experience than what you're currently doing.

i do remember how some folks were freaking out cause "zomg, it has gay stuff!".

first of all, it was like a 10 second scene. it could easily be removed from the movie and it wouldnt affect it since it barely had any impact. but regardless of all that, fuck outta here with your prejudice! smh

I missed the controversial scene by blinking and not realizing exactly what they were doing lmao

Like I understood the whole context of the commander being in a gay marriage but the actual controversial scene was so blink and you'll miss it.

We argued for a span of 40 minutes, so, no. And I don't see why watching a mediocre movie would've been a better experience.
