Kids cartoons really need to go back to wholesome, entirely family friendly and above the board comedy like the days of Animaniacs.

Young girls watch that show. This helps make them feel reassured that they aren't weird for having this happen to them. Much better than thousands of years ago when people would shun women who were on their period, and make them hide away calling them unclean

Huh. I remember cartoons/shows aimed at girls back then almost never actually talked about their changing bodies. Then again, can't really think of any boy shows that did the same for boys. Pretty cool how it's okay to talk about things that's actually relevent to an adolescent, on Disney of all things.

I do vaguely remember an episode of Pepper Ann that was about boobs, but like I said, it's vague so I don't remember any details. I never watched the show regularly. >_>

I was just thinking about this too. The only example I can think of is Degrassi did an episode about one of the characters having wet dreams, and I am pretty sure there was at least one "awkward boner" episode.

Some dumb cartoon reviewer was like, and I'm vaguely paraphrasing here, "Turning Red seems to deliberately choose to ignore the sociopolitical impact of 9/11 despite taking place in 2002". He even doubled down on it.
