Ye I mean like everybody buying their food off of Amazon, the exact same way, like how most people are buying everything else online

Maybe during the next pandemic.

Eventually maybe a sizable majority in time, but food's such a basic need that if you're hungry enough you don't care where it comes from.

Can't really see that being more efficient.

Maybe in cities where they can have a lot of people making deliveries constantly.

i already do most of my grocery shopping online. not just Uber Eats or whatever... lol

No, because produce and fresh meat really need to be visually inspected before purchase.

Maybe certain types of food. But we've all had bad experiences with ordering perishable foods online that I have to imagine that it'll be a long time before the quality catches up on buying and inspecting meat, veggies, fruit, and other perishables in-person.

Not unless they create some kind of replicator and we're just buying whatever food fuel is used for those.

I've been buying most of my groceries online since the pandemic but not meat or produce. They try to push off their oldest most beat up stock on the people who can't see it until they already have it.
