Went to Nrnberg for a couple of Roller Derby games a couple of weeks ago. Last weekend I went up to central California with my gf to visit her parents. It was nice, much less traffic than LA and the mountains were gorgeous because of all the rain we've been having. I definitely enjoyed the visit, but I don't think I'd want to live up there. Everything was a 20-30 mile drive away, which made it feel so isolated. Ive been in Amory, MS for the last week and a half as part of a rapid response to the tornado that came through on the 24th. It can come across badly to some people to say I enjoy going to disaster areas, but yes. Ive been surrounded by great people doing great things to help a community in need and its very rewarding. I live in Montreal: I spent two weeks in Portugal in Feb. Had a blast. Went to five different cities/towns.
