Ended immediately. Number blocked. Email blocked. Unfriended and blocked on all social media. I even change the account passwords of any streaming services I let them share.

The only way they ever talk to me again would be by actively finding me in person. And I'd still just blow them off.

Kind of a dumb question for two reasons:

1: For most, it depends heavily on the specifics.

2: Its VERY, VERY easy to say yes because theres no emotional attachment to a hypothetical. If youre with your wife of 24 years and youve put everything into the relationship you might be inclined to consider couples counseling even if youd normally answer knee-jerk yes to the question.

I actually went on a binge once and was watching all these YouTube videos about nuclear revenge/ cheating stories all that shit.

This one stuck in my head. His adult kids had done one of those genealogy tests to learn about their ancestors and it turned out he wasn't their real dad. They thought it was a mistake until they told the wife and her face turned white and she started having a panic attack. Eventually she admitted she had been having an affair twenty years ago with the next door neighbor.

It turned out the dude had been raising someone else's kids as his own his whole life. It completely destroyed his mind and he was questioning if he even wanted to live anymore. But the really wild part is stories like that or similar aren't uncommon at all.

Man, honestly, I don't know. I think sex is probably something that I would have forgiven more because at least she was satisfying her need but if she was giving some dude head, that feels like a whole different kind of thing.

Something like this. I can imagine some situations where I'd be able to get past it at least initially if I felt pretty comfortable that the ongoing risk was super low. It does tend to permanently damage trust in the future though.

For me, it depends on not the act itself, but the circumstances and how things were from her point of view.
