I played the game back in 2020 and liked it a lot. Figured I'd give it a replay before playing Requiem for the first time.

Gonna try and platinum it this time because it doesn't look too hard to do.

Any other fans of this game?

I bought it on sale and started it a few months ago and I havent gotten through the tutorial but it was certainly interesting. I hear the sequel has better combat

Great game, although sometimes I wished it stayed more grounded. Ending spoilers: Having a final fight where you have dueling rat tornadoes is a much different tone than the start of the game.

There isn't much to the combat in the first game and you have to rely on stealth a lot of the time, but that really didn't bother me. Not every game needs to have a focus on combat.

The story, characters, setting and atmosphere is where the game really shines.

Really enjoyed the first game. A Plague Tale: Requiem is quite good as well. You can choose to play stealthy or play more aggressive since Amicia is given more options to work with.

rats

It was pretty much the same restrictively linear experience like Hellblade so I didn't mind playing the game at a slower, 4K w/RTX output. Would've liked even more horror elements added besides rats but I enjoyed the story anyway even though it has no replay value.

I love the part in chapter 4 when you get to Laurentius's farm and all the animals have been slaughtered by The Inquisition but there's one pig left and Hugo goes up to it and says "I'm sorry about your friends"
