Duty support is too slow. It's painful.

It is. It has something PUGS do not though, and that is the character talking while it goes on.

Also play a DPS job. I find that easier to do dungeons and trials with that as opposed to a tank or healer, where I'd be anxious as all hell.

Interesting. When I get to heavensward I was planning on trying out dark knight which is a tank job. Was wondering how thats like running dungeons with

Trusts (and I assume duty support) is only like 50% slower than an average df party, which is kinda bad but probably worth it if you wanna avoid people that bad.

yeah, it also clears the frog bridge for you if you can't. and i've never seen anyone die...

Tbh I'm more likely to be upset by a bad dps in a dungeon than a single pulling tank or a no dps healer.

it is about twice as long as with a group, and if you have a good group you can do it in 10 minutes. and the time you spend in a queue is basically not counted because you can do something else while you wait. not sure if trusts go any faster as characters level because the thought of sitting through a bunch of duty support dungeons kind of kills me.

I get that, but you don't need to make pf groups unless it's for hard content right? You can always join someone else's for that anyway.

I can't speak or give advice from personal experience with tanking. I have two friends that have a tank main/alt and at first they were very anxious about it, too but they love it now. Not gonna lie and say they never ran into instances where an asshole in the party went after them, it dunked their mood for that play session but they kept going with it. I guess it depends on how you are with that kind of stuff. Just read up on your tank skills, Google for basic advice on the job, and the rest will come with time and practice

That's fair, and I would, too. When I think of bad tanks/healers I don't think of single pullers or no dps healers. The tanks with no mitigation and I get hit when I so much as start breathing on the mobs, ones who don't know where to stand/have mobs face or ones who dance around constantly (unnecessarily, I mean. For no reason) and have the mobs shuffling around everywhere the entire fight.

I haven't run into too many bad healers, trying to think back on it. Most I can think of are instances where they get lazy with rezzing or rez at random. Not basic dungeons, but bigger raids or stuff like Bozja. I was more aware of that one when leveling my RDM and could've helped revive the pile of people.

highest level leveling dungeon til 70 then fates+dungeons

I also want to come back and I'm kind of like you.... The very next story mission I have is a dungeon that has some notoriety as being a pain in the ass and having deaths, Bardam's Mettle. But I mostly play WHM or some sort of tank, usually Paladin. My anxiety about it is literally stopping me from logging in and doing this dungeon. It's been a while since I healed.

Will someone die? Eh, probably not. But when they do I feel like I wasted some of their time and that makes me feel guilty which in turn turns into anxiety about playing. Plus I always feel like I need to look up every boss strat for each dungeon so I'm not wasting anyones time by dying to a mechanic that I didn't know about. That's also annoying and totally a fault in me, not the game or anything.

I do the same thing!! I've always looked up every boss and trial for major cues to look out for so I know what to do. I also threw out a "o/ first time here" or something similar. people are generally nice.

Endwalker put a stop to that habit though, since I was on it at launch and there were no boss/trial guides to look up. It was actually pretty fun being in the ????!!!! zone with everyone else.

Yeah I don't think I've ever actually run into a problem where I got people killed and got yelled at. That's why it's weird I feel so anxious about it.

it occurs to me we could at least have a CWS for CE but idk if that's limited by data center

and @Blue_Dream87 maybe, but i can't change worlds for another few months lol. ideally you can get the thing to have 8 members and then it would be pretty gravy
