i honestly dont know. Ive read about it a decent amount and Ive watched all the movies/mini series stuff, but I still dont really know how I feel.

David Koresh is dead. The Branch Davidians stopped doing illegal gun sales which brought them to the attention of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms

That equipment was on loan / surplus. The us military was never deployed.

Three letter agencies get involved any time a federal offense is created which is almost all the time because the federal government has so many laws that they lost count of how many laws they have.

A bunch of cult idiots I doubt figured it would end the way it did when they agreed to the brainwashing.

I only really know about the situation from watching the Netflix show. I'm not sure how accurate it is though.

Kind of hard to negotiate with a guy who thinks he's Jesus. Talking him down to John the Baptist doesn't have the same ring to it.

ya thats why I said I wasnt really sure how I felt about it.

most people are focusing on David which obviously was a piece of shit, but the innocents tangled up didnt need to die, and certainly shouldnt be brushed aside the way they are being.

Koresh regularly left the compound on his own. He went on several mile run by himself just about every other day. He went into town by himself weekly. The local sheriff informed the FBI about this but they decided to put on a big show of force instead which needlessly created a standoff.

The search warrant was for a fuck ton of illegal weaponry. The compound would have been extremely dangerous to raid whether or not David was there.
