I'd say he should've been arrested - he was running a religious cult where he fucked kids. Although I'd label a few US-specific branches of Catholocism as religious cults that fuck kids (child marriage), that's for sure. All the seige stuff is pretty intense. The final standoff was the FBI pumping in tear gas and not firing on anyone. How do you handle a scenario where you suspect a fatalistic cult is committing significant crimes in a fortress of sorts? There's no easy answer. ...well, except for the right-wing answer anyways. "Leave them alone and ignore whatever sexual abuse/etc crimes may be occurring IF their cause is vaguely Christian or right-wing. If it's a different cause (Muslim, etc) shoot first and ask questions later (or, really, not at all).
