I've done it frequently enough that I can usually sleep through them. I wake up briefly for the contrast injection (they actually stick you before the procedure and leave a line in so you won't move when they pull you out)

The repetitive sounds actually get almost hypnotic after a while and give me the most tripped out fuckin dreams

MRI are loud, a bane to the claustrophobic, and overall annoying. Thumbs up for its diagnostic abilities, though.

Think so when a nipper due to possible brain damage due to my mum or some shit. Thankfully I'm still here and nothing came of it. I have been wanting one for a while due to the head pressure I get but the docs put it down to anxiety as I've had the head pressure years and it started when my anxiety did. I mean if it was something bad I'm sure something more would have happened by now. I'm still curious though.

I'm due for another but I know it'll just confirm what I've already known.... that I've had way too many concussions. I had my first one after having my first epileptic seizure

I'm pretty claustrophobic and I learned to adjust over time

I had one to look at a muscle tear that wasn't healing. Sat absolutely still for 45 minutes and was rather proud of myself - I breathed and that was basically it. Then the Doc said something to the effect of "too bad this MRI has pretty lousy resolution - I can't see much" and I was pissed.

I switched clinics not long afterwards - I wasn't greatly impressed.

I've had two.

I felt like I was being loaded into a photon torpedo tube.
