We were living in truly dark times when clowns like him were considered geniuses just a year ago.

Dude is facing up to 100 years in jail. You'd think he'd at least be smart enough to wait to try this crap until after a trial. Dude was 100% planning to free the country and I wouldn't be shocked if his house arrest bail gets turned into no bail and he awaits trial from behind bars.

No one with half a brain considered him a genius. People have to stop listening to tech dorks when they are patting each other on the back.

combine this with chats being released of the binance guys clearly acknowledging they were breaching anti-terrorism laws, that many of there users were "here for crime" but "we close 2 eyes", it's quite frankly amazing that these crypto dorks got away with it for so long.

I guess what we've learned here is that the trick to living is to commit SO much crime in such a short time that it takes the police 5-10 years to even begin to piece it all into a case they can try you for

Crypto funding terrorists and helping dictators bypass sanctions has been a known problem for years now. It's just one everyone turns a blind eye to because, at least for a while, crypto was the latest get rich quick scheme people were hyping because they thought it was a shortcut to retirement.
