Friends of mine live in an area where the parks are Reservation only and they were all taken in the time it took to navigate the menu.

So who is selling?

Maybe the national park system is just that popular with people there. I wouldn't know where to look >_>

like entrance to the park is reservation only or the camping / rving spots are reservation only? I've heard of the latter many times, and yeah, they go quick. Like a year out or as soon as you can reserve, they are reserved. Never heard of entrance being reservation only.

Entrance is reserved. Imagine being born and raised in the town and not able to go to the park.

That sucks, what park is that? I'm planning to go to Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks this year but haven't had trouble reserving camping, and was even lucky enough to get lodging in the park for a couple nights (while I mostly do camping, I break it up a bit so I can bathe/shower)

That sucks. Ive been trying to make it to every national park. Zion parking lot reached capacity around 10 AM each day I was there. Wouldnt be surprised if it went reservation soon.

A lot of parks are absolutely packed and unfortunately need to go reservation. Grand Canyon and Zion come to mind.

The bad news is that the high demand means they will sell out quick. Maybe they should implement a waiting list.

I would like to mention there are absolutely stunning state parks and national monuments that are just as good as the national parks and way less crowded, you just need to do some research or be adventurous on a road trip.

It is good that not everyone has this problem.
