I have seen it before a remake having cut content. Capcom isn't the only company guilty of this. Case in point. Tomb Raider: Anniversary was a remake of the first Tomb Raider game and a lot of content was cut out of it. For instance two levels were merged into one, I think some of the puzzles were changed and some of the levels were shorter than they were in the original game. The guy's hitting zombies with it and they aren't even staggering, they just get a small fire applied to them and then continue to lunge. After a while they go down. It's like a poisoned knife pretending to be a fire knife. It's so unsatisfying looking and it's got so little impact it could be a DMC5 weapon. They got a rocket launcher where it says the real damage comes from the piercing of the rocket itself rather than the blast, like they made a rocket launcher where the explosion sucks. I was pretty meh on it to begin with when it was trying to be a Resident Evil game because the level design of the city and the sewer is just terrible and the puzzles are super meh. I preferred the second half where it instead tried to be a Resident Evil game and embraced being a third person shooter a little more. I thought Nemesis was pretty good. I understand why people were disappointed he wasn't more of a stalker enemy, but I found Mr. X annoying rather than scary, so that was a plus for me. It is super goddamn short though. And even having not played the original, I could tell they cut shit out. Like there's a pamphlet talking about the clock tower and then you just stand next to it.
