BTW I'll ask this here. Why do news stations tell the stock market data in raw numbers instead of percentages. You'd have to be a serious expert to get any meaning from "the DOW dropped 500 points today" and even then the % would be more useful

I'm still too scared to buy now. Printing more money to save the banks is not a sustainable solution when the reason they fell down in the first place was we had to raise rates to counter all the money they're printing ~.~

Because it sounds scarier.

Modern news stations are essentially shock jocks trying to scare listeners into staying tuned.

Yeah, that always pisses me off too. I'm always glad when a place says the percentage since that's actually helpful.
