As long as this card remains face up on the field neither player can activate monster card effects from their hand. When this card is targeted by a card effect you may banish one card in your hand or graveyard with Monkey Idol in its card name to negate that effect.

This is my first time attempting to make cards that are related to each other.

Let's say your opponent uses Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. You can activate this effect to draw 1 cards, not 2 cards because you can only use the effect once per activation.

Hear: Monkey Idol of the Wind

It's basically a reusable D.D. Crow that isn't at risk of being negated with Called By The Grave. Plus, the way you worded it means that it's a soft once per turn (AKA once per turn per copy), so if you open with multiple copies you can use them both in the same turn. So many decks use the GY for recursion and combos that removing key cards from the GY like this on a quick effect is extremely strong. This card would at least be limited to 1.

OP, ban it. It's basically a weaker version of Maxx C (banned in TCG but OCG/MD allow it even though a lot of people think it should be banned) that's also re-usable and immune to being negated with stuff like Called By The Grave that would otherwise negate Maxx C. Plus, again, the way you worded it makes it a soft once-per-turn, so opening with 2 in your hand means you could use both and draw 2 cards each time.

Extremely OP, immediately banned. The fact that you don't have to discard it so you can keep using it for multiple turns (and, yet again, the way you worded it making it a soft once per turn) makes it even more insane, but this would be ban-worthy even if you had to discard it and it had a hard once per turn limitation because it does the job of so many other handtraps but far better.

Nobody would ever play this because you have to hard-draw it along with all 3 of the other monkey idols, and the chances of that are slim. They'll just use the monkey idol cards by themselves, which would be some of the most broken handtraps in the game in the state you put them in.

The fusion would never be used. It deactivated your very powerful hand traps and does nothing useful. Stats are too low and doesnt have any useful effects to make up for it.

If it could be summoned when all three are in your graveyard and then returned them to your hand when destroyed, it would have value.

Doesn't really change my opinion. Even if they were all at 3 (which, trust me, they won't be for long with those effects) the chances of opening with a copy of each monkey idol on turn 1 is still pretty low, plus the fusion monster's floodgate effect hurts you as much as it hurts the opponent. No one would play it.

Also, I didn't mention this before, but these monsters being Rock type (and one of them being Earth attribute) means that Adamancipators can search them, especially in MD and the OCG where Block Dragon is legal. Even they wouldn't play the fusion monster, but being able to search for those handtraps to have them ready for the opponent's turn 2 would make them even more broken. Trust me when I say that no one wants Adamancipator end boards to be even more stupidly difficult to play through than they already are in those formats with Block Dragon around.
