I guess Fox still owns the television rights to Batman, and Disney now owns Fox. Weird.

So it'll be another Gotham show? It ended up being fun, if a little train wrecky at times.

If it's good enough I could just watch a Penguin/Gotham version of The Sopranos and be fine with it.

I mean it still has Colin Farrell so it's gonna be way better than Gotham.

Colin Farrell was fantastic as Penguin though, so I don't mind.

I haven't seen The Batman, but handsome/beautiful people putting on makeup to become ugly people is a real peeve of mine. He's probably a bit older than he was when he was in his prime, but the role of Penguin really should go to someone who doesn't have as many opportunities in film or television.

You can make one of the pretty people ugly with makeup. You can't do the inverse except possibly in animated program.

That's silly. We need more actors wearing ridiculous amounts of prosthetics imo. It's fun and cool

The problem is that prosthetics only work one way. They allow characters to become downgraded or grotesque, but they don't provide upgrades. You can't put fake cheekbones on me and turn me into Chris Evans. That ain't happenin'.

Disney should troll and have Batman in an MCU show.

Who owns the rights to Birdman? (The Michael Keaton one.) Could you imagine a live action TV series where Bruce Wayne becomes Birdman instead of Batman? That'd be like meta-ception or something.

Titans was originally a DC Universe show though, so the rights are probably different regardless.
