Two things about Bojack and it surrounds one person. Diane she is just as fucked up and as much as a user as Bojack is. She is not a good person. But Bojack's bullshit is just so in your face and outlandish you don't notice her as much.

And there was nothing wrong with the Bell Room. Dude asked her point blank WHAT DO YOU WANT. And she never told him. I know people always say oh she doesn't like grand gestures. But PB is stupid and he asked her point blank what do you want. And she didn't tell him. You can't get mad at someone for giving you the wrong thing when you didn't tell him what you wanted.

Everyone is a terrible person in that show though, that's the whole point.

Doesn't the show all but outright say this? They're all deeply flawed people covered in red flags

Diane is not portrayed as a good person in the show.

Everyone is a shitty person. My only problem with the show is how hard they went on the whole "Bojack's comeuppances" arc despite the fact that they had the Weinstein Hippo earlier in the show and just how over the top comical most of the sequences were. It didn't strike a good enough balance, so it felt stupidly forced.

I dislike the trope of making the majority of your characters nasty sociopaths.

Both are full of loving families and friends

For the people saying the show paints everyone as being horrible. It doesn't seem that way.

It is funny. I hated Bojack's character. Like for a long time I just wanted him to get the worst. However he became a honestly better person.. or horse. That seem to have been the goal of him becoming better. Then Oh you go to jail and everyone turns their backs on you but PB.
