It's set in the modern day, but the village is extremely outdated and basically looks and acts like a medieval village. The second level is also a big-ass castle.

You don't really need to conserve ammo though, this is an action game.

I don't really wanna say a whole lot to mess with your first playthrough but uh.

But the 3rd act is the best part if you don't count the first two so that's pretty high compliment

Nice one of the rare multiplat games that was best on Wii.

Yes loved it on the original, new one has a breakable knife but it seems to be even more useful at least.

Game is programmed to drop more ammo when running low and to drop less when youre hoarding it. As long as youre not burning through it like water then the average person can just play it freely and be fine.

Stop telling people not to use the knife in one of the only re games where the knife is both useful and fun to use

Be prepared for long and boring the castle and island are

This game has a lot of cool tricks, secrets and exploits so try to learn about them to see how many carried over to the remake when you get around to it.

There's debates still to this day on what pistol and shotgun you should carry and invest in and whether you should even bother having the TMP. So maybe research that and decide which best fits your style and plan accordingly if you just plan to play it one time.
