Which one?

Second question, would you ever switch to the other? Why/Why not?

I'd switch to iPhone if they got some revolutionary battery tech or something where the battery lasts a week

Pixel 6 - and yes I would switch because I've used iPhones before and they're fine. I just couldn't pass up the Pixel pricing.

I like both iOS and Android but as far as a daily driver, I've always gravitated towards iOS. Android's had way too many problems that still haven't been addressed.

android. owned iphones through the iphone 4 and switched to galaxy note after that and it is way better in every area other than the charging port getting janky the last two iterations of the note. won't go back to iphone but will potentially switch to another android device if they don't work out the charging port issue.

You can easily side-load apps on any iOS device, including RetroArch which ironically has better optimization than its Android counterpart, to the point where now its developers are actively prioritizing iOS over other platforms that support RA.

i have an iphone. ive switched between them multiple times over the years. i generally just prefer iOS because im not interested in using my phone for a whole lot beyond straightforward stuff. you can get an iphone from a generation or two back at the same price as a lower end android phone and it will run all that stuff infinitely better

Android and will never switch. I don't like the single button on iPhones. Don't like their lack of using standard/universal cables. And I just prefer Android interface over iPhone. I don't really like Apple products in general or the company.

iPhones have four (technically five) buttons, and the next model is switching to USB-C.

Got one of each OS. They both have their pros and cons but android is simply superior due to its versatility, customizability, se card support and so on. Plus the keyboard vibrates and that's a must for me.

iOS is more stable, doesn't have a midlife crisis that changes how it looks every release and once hacked the thing becomes the perfect phone. Tweaks elevare iOS imo, shame apple will never allow us to truly own our devices.

Tried android for a while but switched back to iOS. The battery life on androids always degraded way quicker and the software was just more fiddly. I like a more seamless experience that the Apple Ecosystem provides. The products just work. Also its nice having an iPhone/iPad combo.

Android does have more customization but I would say 80% of people will never tap that side of it. Its generally used by power users or enthusiasts. Most people just want a phone that does email, the web, and call/text. And thats ok.

Personally i use it, cause the feedback makes it easier for me to know if a button press registered or not.

Trying to use a touch interface without feedback (Vibration and sound) really fucks with my head.

I already switched from Android to iOS long ago. My first smartphone was an HTC Droid Incredible and my second was an iPhone 5. I've been on iOS since.

I have bought Android tablets in the intervening years, though, in order to keep ties to apps and such that I owned from my Droid.

What universe have you been living in for the past few years? iOS devices are comically OP and iOS versions of apps/games run significantly better than their Android counterparts. Im not a fan of Macs but even theyve become ridiculously OP ever since switching to Apple silicon.

I just got a Macbook Pro with Apple silicon for work, and it's pretty slick. There are a number of things I'm getting used to, but I'm likely going to try switching to the Apple ecosystem slowly over the next few years. Next tech buy will probably be an iPad. I just got my S22 Ultra last year, so I'm not looking to change to a new phone for at least another couple years.

It's a type of switch that a mechanical keyboard can have. Tactile and clicky switches have a bump you can feel when you press the switch that tells you that the switch activated. Linear switches just go straight down with nothing to tell you that you typed a letter.

I'll admit I'm someone who upgrades their phone very frequently but I also do so with a fair amount of consideration.

Like this year, as of now, I'm pretty certain I won't care for the iPhone 15. It doesn't seem like it's doing enough over the 14 Pro Max for me to care to cut over (USB-C is nice but hardly enough of a reason to go through the usual hoops).

Ah i think i get that.

Not something i need personally (Pretty sure i just go all the way down, i cant recall a key never registering, outside of minor water damage scenarios, but id say thats different), but i see the value.

Had an iPhone until I think the 11! Then switched to a galaxy note! I enjoyed all the features of the note but overall somethings just seemed worse than a iPhone! Like talking to my wife over my cars android mode the calls would drop constantly or just be super hard to hear and lose audio! So after about 2 years of android went back to iPhone and been loving it ever since! Probably wont switch again!
