Topic title even though it's written poorly I'm half asleep

Feel like those are the two main ones. Poltergeist, Natural Born Killers, and True Romance could have been up there back in the day.

It honestly is a damn shame that Burton gets all of the credit.

I went with Nightmare because I not only knew who directed From Dusk Til Dawn, but actually forgot who wrote the screenplay so wasn't confused about any alleged director.

I voted NBC because until this topic, I didn't realize Burton didn't direct it.

Funnily enough, I was actually going to mention Coraline which is an entirely different movie a lot of people think he directed.

Weird I thought the poll wouldn't be as one sided with how many people get FDTD mixed up. Nightmare is notorious for this though. And it barely came out last year that Burton really had little to do with the production.

Poltergeist is another good one but I feel like that all just stems from rumors and not marketing or the style of the film.

I remember years ago I made a poll on here asking what the best Tim Burton-directed movie was, and I didnt have Nightmare Before Christmas on there. Numerous people in the topic said Where is Nightmare Before Christmas?? and their minds were blown to find out he didnt direct it

It is very much a Tim Burton movie. He just didn't direct it. It's still his idea, story, and what he envisioned the characters to look like.

Should've subbed the first movie for True Romance since QT's version would've been the best romcom of all time.

Yeah I think this topic makes for a pretty decisive answer here. Selick seems to have always been a bit peeved about that too according to this.

https://variety.com/2022/film/news/nightmare-before-christmas-director-unfair-tim-burton-full-credit-1235418924/

I've known for years now that Burton didn't direct the movie, but I had always thought he was much more involved than he actually was.

"...But my thing was Im going to hang in there long enough to where people actually say, Oh, that guy Henry, he does stuff.'

Selick achieved that with Coraline
which everybody thinks Tim Burton directed
