Did it come back all at once or gradually?

Gradually for me, my girlfriend took a long time to come back but she found doing some burnt orange trick helped a ton

It came back all at once when I realized I could smell break cleaner

For me it came back all at once about a week after I lost it

Gradually and I did smell training which I think helped me.

My sense of smell is getting better but it's still extremely faint since I got COVID for a second time in January.

Slowly started to come back 1.5-2 weeks later. I ate a lot of really spicy stuff during that time.

Gradually but quickly.

It took like 4 months before they came back and they're still not like perfect.

I lost smell and it came back gradually.

Hey at least you could fart like crazy and she'd never know as long as you kept it quiet.

My taste came back fully but my smell is only like 75%

Yeah for me some energy drinks taste metallic now

I never lost either and I had it twice. It was honestly the thing I was most scared of, even beyond dying in some ways lol

I didn't have any symptoms until after I started losing my sense of smell and taste then I started getting a stuffy nose and a bad cough

Hard to say, at first I attributed it to having a stuffed up nose. It wasn't until I got tested that I realized my sinuses had cleared up but my sense of smell was still gone.

covid illness got me sick. loss of taste/smell happened at the tail end of the illness.

did eat things normally. couldn't taste anything except for sour and spicy.
did have normal smell/taste back after a week.

caught covid from roommate who worked at assisted living facility aka old folks home.

It was gone for about 2 weeks, then it was back. A bit weaker at first, but within a day or two it was fine.

So is it really like zero taste? Like you bite into some meat and its like chewing on soft ice or something?

There was no actual flavor of anything. But I could still taste sweetness, and I think sourness.

As for smell, that was just gone.

I've got COVID just now. Today is the sixth day. I lost my taste and smell around the third day, but it started to come back yesterday.

I only had temporary, weird losses that lasted maybe 5-10 min at most a couple times throughout the duration of when I had COVID. I consider myself pretty lucky that was the extent of it.

Mine came back gradually after a few weeks, with ebbs and flows in taste for about a week before returning to normal.

I have a friend that lost their sense of taste and smell completely two years ago and it hasn't returned at all, and likely is gone forever. Good job, assholes that helped spread it.

And supposedly new strains don't cause sense loss to nearly the degree that old strains did.

Mine actually hit like two months after I had Covid. I made eggs one day and they tasted weird. It took almost a year for them to taste normal to me again.

I'm still not sure if it's 100% recovered. There's an apricot brandy I used to fucking love, and it's just kind of meh now. Maybe they changed the recipe, maybe my tastebuds got old, or maybe the Rona killed my taste for it...
