I agree with saying it's not irrational to have a fear of big dogs. But then you just threw everything away by making shit up to try to win the argument. It's easy to win an argument when you're gonna make up stuff about the opposite side. Try to win an argument without pretending the opposite end is as extreme as you possibly can. Anyone can easily win an argument against extremists. That's why so many people push the opposite end to look like an extremist. It's a shady tactic done by people with no confidence to actually argue the nuances.

I live in a relatively small town so yeah, Im just stating a fact the local news station gets a shitton of flak for seemingly putting more of a focus on sensationalist topics that occur far outside the area rather than focusing on local matters. I dont participate in either side of the argument really, as I see both sides. Being a small market, theres definitely a limit on what could be considered newsworthy and worth reporting. On the other, the station definitely does lean toward sensational pot stirring more than youd expect from a reputable news source like, oh, lets say, the BBC, considering they preface all their articles with stuff like TRAGIC or HEARTBREAKING, with heavy emphasis on the ALL CAPS here.

It's not bullshit, the comparison is apt. The way pitbull topics play out is exactly how the topics used to play out when CE was obsessed with scouring the internet to find as many negative stories about black people, Muslims, or illegal immigrants as they could.

If you don't like the comparison then do some reflection and look inward and address how you post instead of getting mad at others because they point out how you post inflammatory reactionary garbage.
