Although I kinda want to replay Andromeda more than this, I'll finish the trilogy by importing my uber-badass renegade shepard. Everyone survived the suicide mission in ME2, other than Tali who died for some random reason. (I sold Legion to Cerberus for experiments, so he didn't even factor in.) This time, instead of going the ol' blood-and-guts soldier route, I'm gonna play as a biotic adept...'cause Singularity is so damn fun.

I have never been so disgusted in my life as I was reading this.

I definitely enjoyed Andromeda more than ME3, going off memory, anyway. The problem with ME:A is that to enjoy it, you need to use Drack and Vetra and just ignore the other, lamer teammates. Oh, and some of the stupid missions. The story (tolerable) and gunplay (great) are what make Andromeda more than its piss-poor reputation suggests.

I've never done ME3 as a biotic, though, so I'm gonna be pushin', pullin', warpin' and singularityin' like no tomorrow.

It's sacrificing your unique Shep powers for being a better version of the squaddie you get after a half hour of playtime.

As for ME:A. It has the best combat in the series (being able to pick whatever abilities you want was a great move) and the exploration is is fun and does a good job at making you feel like an explorer (assuming you aren't trying to go to every part of the map).

That said, still my least favorite ME game since the dialogue and writing is a huge step down from the trilogy (and sometimes it is just terrible).

Ryder gets some snappy lines, but it's hard for me to imagine replaying without Drack and Vetra. Krogan teammates are always a good bet for fun action and dialogue, and Vetra does a good job filling in for the role that Garrus usually occupies. It'd be unfair to the say all the dialogue is bad, but I hated most of the other teammates (especially the alien dude whose named started with 'J'), so it would be kind of a shallow replay session.

Don't think I've done a full replay since some of the funnier launch things were patched, though, so I'm curious to see how things improved. Suppose there's only so much they could do, haha.

I could've sworn ME3 had some kind of ending patch because of the outcry. I forget if that's the Citadel DLC or something different. Thinking back, I don't believe I've done any DLC for ME3, so anything would be fine at this point. Shame Tali won't be here to see it, but eh well.

TBF ME3s ending patch is a vast improvement.

Aww, I can't use Javik yet. Guess I'll have to do a Liara/James party while I rock this sweet-ass particle rifle.

Hmm, I got wrangled into helping Aria take back Omega. Got her and a Turian squaddie to play around with. I'm guessing this is DLC, 'cause I've definitely never done this set of missions before.

Having Javik be DLC in the og version was complete BS. He makes the game significantly better. Sad that I missed it my first playthrough back then.

When I played through, I don't think he was released yet (?), so I didn't get to experience his enjoyable self either.

Youd be long long long done with the entirety of ME if you didnt make these topics and just played....

It released ALONGSIDE the game. That was the big deal. Something about him being part of the game, but due to time constraints bla bla bla. Typical EA from that era.

Ahh, some kind of day-one DLC stuff? He does seem like someone who should've been in the game from the get-go, but now with everything packaged, I guess it's almost a moot point. I looked through one of my old walkthroughs and saw mentions of disc swapping, old glitches, links describing methods of getting old promotional stuff (visors), etc. I think almost all of that's in already.

In the end, I saved the Russian guy, thinking he might help the war effort or something. Normally I wouldn't care if Aria choked the life out of him, though, the way he hid like a coward the entire time.

I guess Nyreen really did blow herself up then, huh? Shame. Thought there might be a decision I could make where I picked her over Aria, but eh well.

I hate the Omega DLC so much.

Is Lash better than Flare? I think I can only pick one.

Flare does a loooooot of damage but the cooldown is so long I only pick it for the coolness factor or if I'm using a non-cooldown focused character.

Aww, Rana Thanoptis did a murder-suicide after hearing voices. I was looking forward to her randomly showing up in an enemy base and having to spare her blue ass for a third time.

I'm mostly using Shockwave, Pull (strips those tower shields off heavies), and Singularity. I could probably switch out Shockwave or something, although as the game goes on and Singularity's less useful, maybe that's the better choice for switching. A nice big ol' biotic bomb wouldn't be too bad.

I use Lash instead of Pull.

It still pulls shields but it also acts as a detonator.

Mordin died as he lived: at an accelerated pace, talking constantly. I hope whatever song the Krogans sing about him is a nice patter song...he'd have enjoyed that.

First time playing ME3 I had Wreav instead of Wrex and Padok Wiks instead of Mordin

Wrex is so good, that if I could make Shepard a Krogan from the get-go, I would've. Hopefully a future ME game lets you do that instead of being a generic human. Imagine a Krogan spectre! Now that'll light a fire under some asses, haha.

Gotta admit, I do find it odd how Liara was literally given a ship that was undetectable because it had to fly in a ten-minute window between storms, but Cerberus still somehow found out about it and it was destroyed. Granted, it was destroyed epically (crashed into a Cerberus cruiser), but it's still a weird bit of explaining away why Liara's new gains were reduced to 10 monitors and a VI companion.

I guess they can make up some "the Illusive Man found out through contact with the Normandy" stuff, but it's still a bit stupid, given how hard everyone worked just to find out about that particular planet's unique situation in the first place. Too bad ME3 goes hard on the "Cerberus is everywhere and has infinite disposable soldiers and mechs at all times, on all planets" logic.

Eh well. At least I haven't had to fight that stupid ninja guy the Illusive Man sends after me. I think you have to fight him (ninja) three times and he just runs away each time. It's pretty satisfying being able to kill him later, though, haha. I want to say his name is...Kai Lang? Kai Long? Definitely not Kung Lao, though.

Cerberus took over the Citadel. How.................surprising.

I wonder if Udina dies here or that's later on. Can't stand that dude. Not sure how he got to be a councilor in the first place since I definitely chose Anderson over his rat ass. Maybe it's an interim thing with Anderson pinned down on Earth...I wasn't paying too close attention to the early scenes, haha.

Yknow, I platinumd 1 and 2, and I've owned 3 since launch, but I've never played the story. Sunk 1000+hrs into the multiplayer, but I've still never touched the campaign.

God, that edgelord ninja guy is so lame. Seeing Thane kick his ass for awhile was nice.

And, oh yeah, tell me what the best weapons are of these. I'll probably stick with the particle rifle since it has infinite ammo and melts faces, but I could switch to the top-shelf stuff, too.

Heard a lot of good things about ME3 multiplayer, but never really bothered, myself.

I think ME3 is the best in the series.

Best epic story moments
Best character development and dialogue
Best combat and weapon variety (ignoring Andromeda)

The two things that bring it down for me are enemy variety (also a problem in every other game) and the ending, of course.

I think it would have been the best if they hadn't made explosive burst incendiary ammo so ridiculously good, no matter what class I play I always end up relying on that like 90% of the time, since it's just so absurd with the particle rifle or geth pulse rifle.

I don't even use any ammo powers right now -- first time that's ever happened, haha.

As for enemies, I find it odd that the main mercs in the world -- Krogan -- haven't even shown up in Cerberus' ranks. Maybe they're saving those for later or something, but so many people find Krogan stupid and easy to dupe, you'd think they'd be first in the Illusive Man's clutches. Wrex must've called them back to the planet so the "everyone gets the cure" stuff actually made some sense. Then they can bring up those who missed the boat in ME4, or make a datalog, or whatever method they use to smooth over the writing.

I did try to save the Batarian planet from dying in the 'splosion, but IIRC, they would've only had 17 minutes to escape or something, so it wouldn't have been very long. Trying to help just led to a last-second fakeout -- this must be how Charlie Brown feels.

The human supremacists don't tend to get a lot of diversity at their job fairs.

I don't think I've even seen any krogan as enemies yet in ME3. I might be forgetting something, but given that they're always the solution to the "how do we win this fight?" problem, you'd think there'd be more around. Again, it's probably because of the Tuchanka plot, but it's just odd given how cosmopolitan Alliance space often is.

ME3's enemy pool is rather weak in variety. It is all Cerberus and Reapers. The only exceptions are the geth in like 5 missions and the unique enemies in the Omega DLC. Citadel DLC technically has The Collectors, but only in an in game video game combat arena challenge.

Im not a fan of vanguard just because all the explosion sound effects play over squad dialogue and all that and drown it out. I wanted to listen to all that
