A World War (one or 2),and how it affected them.

Not necessarily combat in the war (although a secret Wizard War would be cool), but more about how rationing affected them. No spare Nylon, leather, metals. How did the Wizarding community improve/improvise, and develop. What about refuges and the like?

Or maybe go way back to the start. Play as one of the followers of the founders and meet them.

I hate Harry Potter, and haven't played the game (bought it for my Fiance though), but I feel there could be some good stories to be told by passionate individuals that can separate the art from the artist.

Can someone reputable buy the IP so we can move on?

Read a fanfic recently that had each chapter as a short story about a generation of the Potter family and their relationship with death.

One chapter was about his father, then his grandfather, then his great grandfather, and then it looped back around to Harry as an old man.

Anyway his great grandfather fought in the WWI (which is apparently canon) along with most of his brothers. That particular chapter was very interesting. It dealt with how the Wizarding governments felt about intervening in a Muggle war, how certain wizards defied the law and got involved anyway, and provides a nifty explanation for why the Potter family is so small (most of the Potter men of that generation get wiped out in the war).

That sounds like a pretty interesting read

It might be best to do a sequel game at a new school? Come up with a totally new story set at the American school, Durmstrang, or some other place? I haven't finished the first game yet but I feel like they shouldn't just reuse the Hogwarts map again for another game.

That would also be cool. I'd like to see another school; I'm just worried they're going to be to hung up on it being "Hogwarts" Legacy. Ya'know?

They would have to rename the series then.

Couldn't they just do another goblet of fire tournament as an excuse to bring in all those other schools that competed in the book? Then there would be an easy reason for you to visit each of those locations and maybe even give you the option to start in one of those other schools instead.

Yeah, no way is any dlc going to have an entire full new map/multiple maps with all these schools. Not unless they're copy pastes or just one large room each or something

Like I could see one school being halfway decent as dlc, but to actually get the experience of a different school in a different country

I meant more as the premise for a sequel, not dlc.

That could work too, and would be pretty cool. Might be a little to big though, idk

I kinda wish Hogwarts Legacy leaned more into the school than it does with the open world. I felt more like a mercenary than an actual student.
