Videogames.

If a videogame is a broken buggy mess, Im not going to complain if someone were to offer a modification to fix it.

Also collectors toys. Third parties often do upgrade kits that make a toy better than it was sold. Some toys now are hollow, intentionally missing parts and have features that dont work well.

Mods are a big source of this for me. That's one of the reasons I like playing games on PC so much nowadays. If the game has a stupid or annoying feature/bug, odds are that somebody out there made a mod or a patch designed to fix the issue.
