I'm gonna be generous and assume that you've just not got an accurate read of what this ruling says, because otherwise this is an incomprehensibly bad take. To reiterate - the "modern slavery system" referenced here is a set of laws specifically in place to protect people who are being trafficked, kidnapped, sold into prostitution etc. By removing protection for anyone who has not "entered via the correct channels", it would mean that those protections are *removed for the people being trafficked* unless their kidnappers filed all the asylum paperwork etc. prior to the, y'know, kidnap. This new ruling would effectively criminalise being a victim of international kidnapping and human trafficking. And it goes even further, by not only criminalising the victim, but also removing their legal right to appeal. And, lest you forget, Sunak and Braverman don't want to send people "home" when they deport them, they want to round them up and send them to camps in Rwanda. So, to put it in layman's terms, if the sex boat that Liam Neeson's daughter was drugged up and sent to in Taken was in the UK, the government's response under this new proposal would be primarily to do nothing because she shouldn't be in the UK, and if she got free of the traffickers or otherwise reached out for help, they would lock her up for entering the UK illegally, deny any right to appeal, and ship her off to Rwanda.
