I replay it every year as well and plan on replaying Red or Blue (last year I did Yellow) after the eShop shuts down.

Last summer I did something different on a Crystal run through and bought Pokemon Silver on my other 3DS and transferred a bunch of end game Pokemon (Houndour, Larvitar, Natu) from another save file and transferred back for my Crystal run. It was a lot of fun.

I don't replay the games but I consume a ridiculous amount of challenge run and speedrun content for gen 1. Also know a lot of random competitive battling factoids because of channels like False Swipe Gaming and Big Yellow

I replayed red a few months ago, even completed the pokedex for the hell of it. I was surprised the original internal battery still works after all these years.
