Don't have any masks nor have the time to get any, work doesn't provide any either. Pandemic procedures all went away months ago here in Texas cept for Hospitals

What kind of sick?

What kind of irresponsible person doesn't keep masks on hand just in case they get sick after living through the goddamn pandemic

stuffed nose and coughing it seems the coughing at least goes away when I tooken some alergy pills a minute ago but the stuffed nose persists

What's fucked is as a carpenter most places would be like if you can get outta bed you can come to work no sick days unless covid! fuck you're basic human weaknesses!!!!

But in Healthcare... its literally the same the way where I work now. I take care of 90 and 100 year old people. I'm pretty sure them getting sick would be bad.

I recommend you buy some quality masks as soon as you get a chance.

The absolute worst part of a stuffy nose is when you blow it you can feel more snot forming in there, you know what I mean like for a brief couple of seconds you can smell again then your hear the weird sorting sound like mucus regeneration or something and by the time you take a second breath it's back.

The idea though is that you wouldn't want anybody else to unnecessarily have to experience it too, right? I think the biggest problem is knowing that you have a sickness and are actively going into work knowing this and yet, the focus remains on you and your symptoms. Your concern should extend outward but it hasn't. It remains a story of you and uncomfortable symptoms. It is not a good look. Next time, try to be a better person.

If I feel worse tomorrow I'm flat out going to just be late to work while I wait for the free clinic to open so they can give me a mask. Really can't afford to get fired right now

This is not the way.

that sucks you fear being fired just for missing time because you're sick. I feel lucky the job I have I get sick time and even if I run out of that I can still call in I just won't get paid

Just run out and get a mask if you have to work. Your coworkers will see you wearing it and appreciate you

Update: spent all night coughing and spitting out mucus and now have a fever of 100.4 it's also feeling hard to breathe. I'm staying home firing or not there's a chance this might be Covid

In Sweden we are now allowed to go to work with stuffy nose etc, but if you feel sick you still gotta call in sick.

All the more reason why you should own masks. I walk around the office with tissue rammed up my nostrils and no one has any idea, thanks to them.

Yeah masks are great, no one can see this pepperoni looking herpy on my lip or smell my rotten teeth

Update currently in hospital really not feeling good at all

Final update: not covid, common cold, spent all day binging on cup noodles, applesauce, apple juice, water and some other things, headache mostly gone, cough, still there, temperature back to normal, still tired tho, thankfully the hospital gave me a free box of face masks so I'll be going to work wearing one for however long I have this cough, the thing I learned the most from this is cough drops don't do shit, I ate them like candy and I didn't stop coughing at all today.

If you have a fever then your contagious. I hope you would be able to stay home.

I thought I had covid because of the fever but it turned out that wasn't the case thankfully.
