when i used to live with my brother's family, there was occurrences of bed bug bites :(.

My story here would be a long one if I explained it in full detail. Here's the short version.

Previous roommates brought bed buds into the apartment via used furniture and didn't tell me for 3 months, the bastards. Queue bed bugs completely taking over the house no matter what over the counter remedy I tried (could not afford professional treatment). And when I say completely taking over I mean my old bed went directly to the landfill and the bed frame probably had 1000 eggs on in or more plus God knows how many alive bugs despite me dousing the bed in some much over-the counter chem that my skin literally started to dry out and fall off.

Moved to a new house, trashed 95% of my stuff. Still carried bed bugs over. Bough professional grade chemicals to use at the new house. Still ended up with a secondary infestation. Treated that again and so far so good?

I saw this video and my next step is probably to spread a shit ton of diatomaceous earth around the house outside of where my nephew will crawl in (living with my brother who has a 10 month old infant). Seems like that might beat the shit out of chemical treatment.
