Great episode, series has been outstanding so far. Still have no idea why she is immune.

I believe they kinda yada yada an explanation at the end. But the why isn't really important to it overall. Kinda like how they never explained how the outbreak started in the walking dead. Or in the original game IIRC, at least not overtly.

Shes 19. 18 when filming. Still valid complaint against him complaining about her being attractive but shes not a child, shes playing a child.

I'm hoping they hint at Abby, Owen, and the gang. Maybe having Abby find her dad's body in the hospital and scream and then fade to black.

They damn well better. And Joel better be too over the top for the doctor so when the inevitable TLOU2 story happens it has more room to breathe. The game sucked because it was trying to retro fit stuff into the first and was sloppy with it. The show has the benefit of foresight and foreshadowing so they can right the wrongs of the second game's story if they play their cards right.

Episode was awesome, I really liked it. Wanted to see Joel go more beast mode during the storm or have them both stuck in it at the same time like the game did but overall it was done very well. David becoming super rapey at the end was a bit much but yet again Bella's whimper when she realizes what he is about to do was guttural and chilling. She's utterly fantastic.

btw, i was surprised to discover that it was actually Troy Baker as one of David's goons. lol >_>

Eh. I disagree about Part 2. I think it fits in perfectly given that Joel was in a blind rage the whole time and then they immediately leave the hospital.

Im going to blow your mind friend. Just because a scene comes after another in a show or film, doesnt mean its occurring after the scene that came before it chronologically, it just makes more sense for the scene to come after the previous scene narratively.

Come on guys, were all adults, we dont need pointless scenes of people walking commenting man its been three hours of walkin here for us to get time has passed right?

None of that is relevant to what I was saying.

This episode was pretty good, but this and the last one is where I really feel the difference in the game. Maybe because I liked the last half of the game and the DLC, not so much the first half.

My biggest issue in this one is they really cut down Joel's sneaking through the town. Even if they removed the action scenes, you kind of need that one where they show that everyone's congregating in one building to ride out the storm. Without that, it just makes it super fucking weird that one of their largest buildings is burning to the ground and no one shows up.

I was thinking the same thing. A fire is roaring in a quiet town, yet Joel and Ellie were able to just stroll on out of there as if they and David were the only people there.

I don't think they should show Abby until season 2 tbh.

Her Dad being more obvious that he's gonna be her father sure.

But seeing her perspective of that day isn't needed until Part 2.

I just watched it. It was pretty good. I have a few questions though.

I dont know who Alec was tho. Is he the raider Joel killed a few episodes ago at the college?

Was that Troy Baker as James? i wasnt sure what character he played.

He's just crazy and a pedophile, and at the time full of adrenaline and anger. There's not really much else to it.

Bella's acting in that episode was amazing.

Also I remember someone in a previous topic wanting Joel to show off his brutality that he had a reputation for. Well, there you go lol

Maybe my favorite episode. Fitting since it's my favorite part of the game aside from the ending.

Sure, but generally speaking you don't use the exact opposite in order to support your theory.

I'm not convinced that she didn't get into his head and spook him in some way, and it sounded like it could have been denial in his end. at least, to me.

James(?) also seemed worried, so I feel Ellie's words had some effect.

At least this Topic will last until the finale tomorrow so thats an improvement.

I guess we're not getting the final throwdown with the infected. Had a feeling that'd be cut.

Ngl, I was hoping to see them actually having to fight and take down a bloater but there's pretty much a 0% chance of that happening this season.
