Well... do ya?

I work with some real shit heads. We're losing employee's left and right because they won't pay em for one thing. The other thing is WFH is becoming more common and our management simply refuses to budge on it. We have a handful left working from home and they're doing fine. We lost an employee recently because her mom got sick and she couldn't come in because she had to take care of her when she got out of the hospital. Before this I had suggested we let her work from home and the response I got was "Not at this time" Yeah well fuck you you just lost an employee that you can't afford to lose and I could have easily prevented that. I can only work from home on the weekend because i'm soooooo badly needed in the office which is bullshit. I can get into any computer from my couch.

I'm all for work from home, even though I hated it as a teacher. If you can be just as productive from home as you were in an office or other workplace, what's the point of coming in. The only negative I could see to work from home is if you're dealing with sensitive information on a company network like customer information. That has a higher risk of being compromised from a personal network than it does within the company network.

I personally love it. No commute, no drama, using my own bathroom, easy to get stuff done on my lunch break which frees up time in the evening.

That's always going to be risk no matter where you are. We have a lot of security measures in place to make it way more difficult to retrieve data off of a wfh computer. Nothing is ever perfect but I don't think it's risky enough to make anyone have to come into the office.
