Subscriptions and traffic for the retro games would likely plummet within a few weeks if they launched it with all the games they plan on having. There's a feeling of quanity overload where people will just play around with a bunch of different games, then stop after awhile. This happens a lot with people who download hundreds of ROMs at once.

But you have a steady stream of new releases at a time, it keeps people subscribed or consistently come back to it.

So if a game isn't the best in the series, it's not worth playing? I've played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to death. Sometimes I want to play different games in the series.

Super Circuit is the only game in the series that I legit dislike. Its been AGES since Ive played it though so maybe Id enjoy it more now, but I remember not having a good time playing it.

Very specific games give me this weird sensation of feeling unpleasant playing them, and Super Circuit is one of them. It's like reverse-nostalgia

Because Mario Kart is one of Nintendo's most profitable series ever so they assume that putting a Mario Kart game in the library will make people want to buy the expansion pass regardless of the specific game's quality

I doubt they will release Mother 3 in English primarily because it would take effort to translate it. Secondarily, there are certain elements in the game Nintendo probably would like to avoid in today's environment such as the nonbinary group of people in the game.
