Mine lives inisde the home at all times, uses a litter box and such.
I'm not keen on letting her get on the bed because I feel she's going to be pepering the bed with litter particles after they dive into the box.

I'm told by friends cats are super clean, they clean themselves up and all of that but sometimes I see them clean themselves after they are already in their resting spot.

This is my first cat.

Cats are relatively clean, but they also leave hair everywhere and they get zoomies at night and will run around and wake you up. I keep door closed at night so my cat doesn't wake me up

I let them sleep with me. Idc about litter.

Bigger issue is them waking me up at 4am bc they want to play.

We don't have an issue with litter in the bed. Although the box is in the basement far from where we sleep, so there's plenty of time for the litter to fall off by then

If they want to sleep with you, sure let them, as other people have said they are relatively clean, the particles of litter might happen every now and then, specially if your cat has longer fur but it's worth it.

if you have a litter trapping mat outside the litter box it usually catches the litter that gets stuck in their paws. Often they clean themselves too. There are still times you might get some litter in the bed from their paws, but really its not a big deal. You just push it off.

I've never had them get noticeable litter anywhere besides immediately outside their box unless they were sick or something. Don't like put your cat's paws in your mouth, but you should be fine for normal pet stuff.

They probably aren't making your bed any dirtier than you are. You should be washing sheets regularly regardless.

As far as getting woke up by the cat, try to maintain a regular schedule for things like feeding and play. It will help prevent them from waking you up at 3 am for something.

This is the real struggle - I've actually had to get up and put one who was stomping on my stomach at 6 AM in another room so he didn't get reinforced w/ the idea that doing that would get him food earlier

Litter doesn't really stick to them, a few feet of walking and it will have fallen off their paws.

They make these mats for the outside of the box that catches the litter from their paws, it reduces the already small amount that might get on your stuff. It's less common than you'd think, unless you are a neat freak, it shouldn't bother you.

One thing to remember as a cat owner, you are not the owner, the cat owns you. You will cave to it's every need and bidding because it will find ways to annoy you until it gets what it wants.

Id recommend checking out the Breeze pellet litter system if you want to try it. Zero litter tracking since its pellets.

Been using it for years with several cats and its great. Ill never go back to regular litter.

O shit I didnt know about the mat for the box thanks!
Also, she already sleeps in my room, she jumps onto my chair and sleeps there, does not wake me up at all, she patiently waits until she notices I woke up and then starts going berserk, but not before which I appreciate.

I HOPE, if I were to let her sleep on my bed, that she would still just sleep as well and not completely change the way she waits for me to wake up before getting all needy.

I use wood pellets instead of standard litter.
Even then I don't have to deal with sawdust in bed.
It's largely a non issue so long as the litter box isn't next to the bed.

Friend of mine gets her cats roam freely outside, bring home dead mice to her as gifts and then let's her walk all over her pillows.

No wonder her skin on her face is all messed up. Most pet owners are dirty as fuck.

I decided she is still gonna sleep on the chair, she has her own mini cave in the form of a shark, it is super cute.
