This entry level on Newegg runs about $1000 after tax. I was thinking thats probably a good number but I may be wrong.You guys think these specs are worth buying or should I get something a little better?

Planning to game here and there, hopefully learn some computer related skills.

Build one yourself and you can go a whole tier up on every part AND save money

If you're going to buy pre built, check cyberpower.com
You can at least pick your own parts and they definitely cost less.
