It won't be just war with Russia, I'm sure it'll expand to China, North Korea and Iran and whoever else

It's inevitable unless we destroy ourselves before it.

Don't see why it's any more likely now than it was during the height of the Cold War when both blocs were fighting proxy wars across much of the planet, even intervening directly and having their own soldiers killed by guerrillas trained and equipped by the rival bloc.

No one's likely to push the button first if they know it's tantamount to suicide. The real danger of escalation will be if someone gambles that they can launch a low-yield battlefield nuke first without incurring massive nuclear retaliation from a third country. (It's not an entirely unreasonable gamble: if Putin used battlefield nukes against Ukraine sometime this spring, would America really say, "OK, that's it, we know it means the inevitable annihilation of the United States in an all-out nuclear conflict, but dammit, we're going to nuke Russia for the sake of avenging Ukraine because that's a noble reason to commit national suicide!"?)

India I guess if China tries to stay isolated. If not they are with whoever China is against(unless China just tries to solo Taiwan while most the other players are fighting elsewhere. India can't beat China without the U.S or a fucking huge coalition)

I feel World War implies multiple countries engaged in multiple theaters of war, and due to globalization now I don't think it's likely we will see anything like that again.

Even if Russia decides to go nuclear, China is not going to come to their aid and back them up. China likes to threaten and brag, but they are not stupid. They know they need the rest of the world in order to support their economic growth, and they are not going to win a war against the rest of the world with Russia as an ally.

So in that scenario 'the world vs Russia' is not really the same thing as WWI or II.

The only winners will be those who manage to stay out of it, and many governments will know that. I haven't yet seen a compelling reason laid out as to why a country would think its vital interests would be best served by volunteering for utter devastation if its own survival wasn't already on the line.
