This. Not worth it, tbh.

But also, I would never live in a state that doesn't have a coast line.

Pros:
The people are genuinely much nicer than they were when I lived in the Deep South. Marijuana is legal. Racism and bigotry are not socially acceptable like they were when I lived in the Deep South. Its very scenic and there are a lot of places to go and things to do.

Cons:
Its so expensive that I might have to move at some point. The housing situation is also a nightmare landlords own 2/3 of the state and they overbid 50% on homes. Then they rent the houses out at extortionate rates. The rental homes are dilapidated, too, and the property managers refuse to fix anything but heater issues. I am moving to a different rental house and the lowest prices in seeing are $2,000/month.

The second issue is overpopulation. Over the past decade, the population skyrocketed. You have people on top of one another anywhere you go. Now, the city trails are so clogged up with massive families that you cant ride your bike without having to stop and wait every thirty seconds. The products in the stores are bought up before you have a chance to get what you need. When you do find something, the prices are like what you would expect in Disney World or something. Ive heard stories of people from places like Boston claiming that our population density is much worse.

One other issue is infrastructure. Theyre honestly not doing a great job. Statewide, theyve pretty much announced that they will no longer be plowing our streets. The main roads get plowed, but whats the point when theres two feet of snow and you cant even back out in a truck? Most cities here were designed with a specific maximum population, which we have surpassed long ago.

tl;dr-
Nice place that everyone wants to live in. They realized this and cranked up the price to where only rich people and retired people can afford to live there, so now we have an overpriced and overpopulated retirement community that goes to bed at 9pm. With that said, its still a great place and we always need people to vote blue here. Some years, the weather sort of sucks and some years its amazing.

The highways are weird, and their dispensaries are super fucking expensive(compared to MI)

Cant beat the views.

Probably only worth it if you will take advantage of the outdoor lifestyle.

oh and a very high homeless population around Denver and Colorado springs. Cant speak for the rest of the state.

It's expensive and good luck with the impending water crisis that will affect that whole region.

Move to Oklahoma honestly. There's some nice spots there that won't cost an arm & a leg. Just ignore all the meth heads and you'll be fine

Pro: the state is a rectangle, and easy to draw
Con: it's not the only rectangle state

If youre not moving here to enjoy the outdoors dont bother, its fucking expensive and you can get weed lots of places.

plus its overcrowded as fuck we dont need anymore people moving here.
