Both have Jake Gyllenhall and Rene Russo, and it's by the same director as Nightcrawler, but the movie is just weird for the sake of being weird. Sometimes in a good kitschy way but mostly ridiculous.

Nightcrawler couldn't be beat, but Jake plays an art critic this time around and a cursed painting that kills everyone who attempts to profit from it.
