I miss my old Steam friends and people I chatted with on the Crunchyroll forums, back when the site actually had working social functions.

I was on Teenspot back when To Catch A Predator was using it to catch pedos

One of the dudes I met when I started playing phantasy star online on the gamecube in like 2003 went on to become one of my best friends IRL. Got to know his family and whatnot and got his older brother to start gaming with my older brother etc. He passed away back in april 2019.

Miss the hell out of him to be honest.

Yeah. Years ago I randomly lost internet for awhile. I had a core group of friends that I talked to every day but by the time I got internet access again all my accounts were gone. Sites used to regularly delete accounts for inactivity if they were unused for a certain period.

Couldn't remember any of their usernames. I mostly regret that I just vanished without warning and never got to say hey I'm still alive.

Yeah a girl I met from New Zealand in 2007. We used to talk on Skype 24/7 for several years. We talk on each others birthdays still but that's it.

Yeah I had some AOL/AIM friends that I kept contact with for like 15 years but we have all since parted ways, wonder how some of them are now. Most of us started as teenagers in video game chatrooms.

Yes, for sure.
I do consider online as friends.

I feel that one deep down let me tell you, my sympathy.

a lot of people I talked to between 2016-2021 were pricks, so not them. Before that I jumped around different forums, so still, not really.

a lot of people from ezboard/yuku between 2004-2009. i have a bunch on facebook and discord though.

Yeah, there's a ton of online friends I completely lost contact with over the years that I miss, both on and off Gamefaqs. Dating all the way back to like 2007 MSN messenger days lol. I hope they're all doing well, I get depressed thinking back to everyone I drift apart from sometimes, I legit get attached to people way too easily.
