Preliminary season rankings are: 1 > 3 > 4 > 2 > 5 I just didn't care at all about Avon and Marlo as characters, definitely the weakest of the cast with Marlo being a significantly downgraded successor. Is Bubbles supposed to be the dark comic relief? The comedy of errors he endures in S4 was ridiculous. Speaking of S4, it had such a blatant "hold for commentary" shot in the finale that it took me out the moment. Whatever happened to the FBI honcho who was being pinged on the wiretaps from his office? Same can be said of the bow tie guy. [LFAQs-redacted-quote] 2 is so much better on rewatch. It never gets the proper love because the transition from the streets and established characters to the docks and brand-new characters is so jarring for first-time viewers it leaves an unfortunately bad impression.
