Kinda the same with me. It's a lot different when I know and can control what's in my food.

If I'm surprised by an ingredient I don't like and didn't know was in there, then it's really really hard for me to finish a dish.

Extremely. I absolutely will not eat anything that I think looks or smells bad or anything I don't like the texture of in my mouth.

I'm only picky in that I only eat fresh ingredients now. I lost a lot of weight and I'm more conscious of what I eat. No processed foods. I go to the deli/bakery a few times a week to pick out everything I'm going to eat. I'll even go to multiple stores to select different types of vegetables and fruits depending on the quality available.

Extremely picky. My pickiness started basically as early as I was able to eat solid food.

Foods I don't eat; vegetables, beans, mushrooms, seafood, potatoes that aren't in the form of tator tots, chips, hash browns or fries, eggs that aren't an omlette or on one of those breakfast bagel type things, spicy food. Other stuff too, but thoses are the big ones. I'm similar to heartamaton in that texture has a lot to do with it. smell doesn't though, I have a weak sense of smell.

On top of that, I'm anorexic. In the sense of not having much of an appetite, not anorexia nervosa. Been ages since I've been to a doctor, but it was a chemical balance related to leptin levels that causes it iirc. Been extremely skinny my whole life.

Not at all, the opposite if anything. There's nothing I don't like and I like to try as many different things as possible.

Not at all. I'll eat (or at least try) almost anything but generally the things I don't like are those with a dominant acidic/vinegar flavor profile.

Turned off by many textures and smells. I could never be a vegetarian or vegan for this reason as the majority of cooked vegetables have awful an texture and/or smell that make me gag the moment it makes contact with my mouth.

Yes. Luckily for everyone else, the kinds of foods I like tend to be very simple, so people don't tend to think I'm difficult to please.
