I've got a little bit right now. Not a shitload. Under 10k total including crypto, but I have some. I want to go to Europe this year, though, so that will probably take a lot. A couple thousand.

I wish I had enough to share, but I'm perpetually saving to see my kid. That amount I have will go quick.

I've got no money saved but I've got no debts as well.

After rent and bills, every bit of money I get goes to drinking, video games, drugs, records etc.

have been investing roughly between 20 and 25% of all the money I've made the past 6 months or so into crypto, just accumulating bitcoins and ethereum

I spent basically all of my 20s doing almost nothing except making money so I'm well off

Own my home, with about 150k in equity on it
67k in investment accounts
21k in the bank
About 15k equity on my car (will be paid off in 2025)

So I consider myself a quarter of a millionaire.

Decently. I worked so much overtime and extra days at my job that I actually managed to save up a lot of money. It was really wrecking me though, and things weren't great there. So when I got a passive secondary income, and I was making as much from that as I was work I just quit my job.

Kept the passive income going until it eventually died out. So I didn't even really lose a lot of money for the 9 months I was out of work. My savings started going down after the secondary income died off.

They recently called and asked me to come back. So I'm working part time only at that same job again. Gonna get back to saving it up. So, right now I'm still on and starting to build it up again.

saving's: fucked

staying afloat: yes. though i have gone through rough times and gotten back on top every single time.

hell month (had to cover rent on a small paycheck)
hell month 2.0 (had to cover rent and a vet bill, that one was the most painful).

both times in which roommate lost his job and couldn't help with rent.

Yeah it's crazy. I went to Disneyland with my ex back in 2014 and it cost around $1800 total. And we live in LA, so there wasn't any flying in that cost lol. But I like going to theme parks, so I'm looking forward to it.

My salary is $94k, plus my rent all gets paid by my employer as well as annual flight allowances, among other, smaller expenses. Plus I have an arrangement with the landlord so he gives me $500 a month too.

Add that to the fact that I live somewhere where a decent meal can be had for less than two dollars and a beer can be cheaper than a dollar, plus the local equivalent of an Uber costs you about 4 dollars to get from one end of the city to the other.

All of that combined means that the money situation is good.

Over the last three years I've been living in temporary housing. At first because it was cheap and I was in financially poor shape, later because of a housing crisis where I live. I've been having to move several times during the past three years, but on the plus side, the low rental costs allow me save up quite a bit. I've gone from less to 1000 in savings to almost 25000 in savings/investments in three years.
