$15 for lettuce, balsamic dressing, cherry tomatoes, croutons, onion and a little bit of baked chicken.

They say because of inflation.

No, I think it's just greed because no way your supplier changes can make a simple salad cost $15 before tip.

vote with your wallet and stop going. i used to eat out 2-3 nights a week. now it's more like 2-3 times a month because prices are so ridiculous.

I mean I don't plan on returning. Had been eating there multiple times weekly.

I'm not paying $15 for a fucking salad despite how good that balsamic dressing is.

They should increase it by 40% within a couple of months if they want to compete with the UK

Probably also the job market for restaurant employees becoming way more competitive and them having to pay more money to actually have staff.

margins on restaurants are so damn low Im not going to get upset about cost increases there. If its a local place its almost certainly a labor of love for the owner, not a get rich scheme

eating out is a luxury

I used to go to this sushi place all the time but they started charging a $1.00 togo fee. It's a dollar and I can easily afford it but why am I being charged this now? Is it for the utensils and napkins I didn't ask for? Or maybe the plastic bag it's out in? Why is it when I dine in and bring my leftovers home I'm not charged a togo fee? And in only a few months time it goes up to $1.25?
Kiss my ass.

Give me a good reason why you started introducing a togo fee and raised the price in three months and you may have me as a customer again. Too bad the place is quite popular so my protest won't do anything.

No to little employee turnover. They own 4+ restaurants and keep expanding. Wealthy family to boot. It's about money and not love.

You talk about margins, but I think other places are able to survive by not charging $15 for a salad.
