I don't know who that is. I've seen the name before on occasion, but I don't know what his username is at a given time.

So I see, hey, this person got suspended and there's literally no topic on it. So I make the topic. Business as usual.

Except it gets locked?

Not trying to meme or joke here. Help me understand how to identify this person. What am I supposed to look for in terms of identifying factors in his username? How do people look at the username and go "oh that's SMAL i wont bother making a SUSPENDED topic?"

Asking legitimately. And if the answer is "just look at his posts" -- how am I supposed to look at the posts of every single user in every single topic to learn who he is? And same question -- what am I supposed to look for in terms of his post content?

SMAL is a renown racist on CE. He now shifted over to NFT's for some strange reason.

See this is helpful. I didn't know "Mix" was an identifier.

It's far more helpful than the other posts ITT like "if he's a racist" or "if he has <10 karma with shitloads of AMP" -- CE already has plenty of both. How would I know which one is SMAL?

The above posts are helpful but even at the end of the day, I don't know the origin or how it all happened to make this person such a unique individual

It used to be you could tell who he was because he almost always named his accounts after a person's actual name. Nowadays his accounts include some sort of wordplay in them. So if you see a new account with a pretty impressive username that's immediately blasting hot takes and talking about NFT or stocks then it's probably him. Also the sig thing.

I don't understand how anyone has time for this board all the time, while still gaming. Not when work takes up like 9 hours a day, and sleep 8 hours...

That was just this most recent account. His original account was SirMixALot, which is why everyone refers to him as SMAL.

But yeah, the NFT nonsense is his current calling card that everyone spots him by now.

I identify him by in pretty much every topic he creates or argument he's in someone mentions that it's him

Your topic probably got locked because of all of the people posting for you to not make a Suspension topic about SMAL, not because you would get modded for making such a topic. While it was obviously not your fault for not knowing that people would react in such a way, that topic basically was purely bait for people wanting anything to do with SMAL to just go away. Thus rather than moderate you they just closed the topic. Something similar happened with me on the Guild Wars 2 boards ages ago where I answered a question, but because it was a simple "no" and I posted it seconds after the question was asked it turned into a meme to just quote train my post. This led to the topic getting nuked and something like 100 posts to be deleted.

Unfortunately us over there are inundated with these kind of trolls besides SMAL for some reason; FunkX, Kamille, Badwinkles, uh me sometimes.

If you see a brand new user, as in, created within the last couple weeks or so, suddenly start posting a whole bunch.... come back to that account in like 2 hours or so and see if it's suspended. If so, it's like 99% chance it was a SHAL account.
