I know doctors. I've dated doctors. They are just people, with biases and flaws and opinions. You go to a GP with your specialist issue and you may as well be asking a very expensive and busy receptionist what number you should be calling. Or worse, you get an egomaniac who just can't say the words "I don't know much about that" and instead says "you shouldn't be doing that". I mean I agree. Doctor's are only human and they make mistakes. That's why malpractice insurance is a thing. But I guess it depends on the scenario someone says it to you.
