Not every actor views kissing and intimate scenes in such a blas manor.
For some it's just more than that.
I recall reading a story about an actor recently who actively refused to have any on screen relationships or love interests due to his personal life.

I've heard that too. I'm sure there are multiple actors like that but the specific example I heard about was Neal McDonough

He does that for religious reasons and out of respect to his wife. Its also probably in his contract when hes hired.

How can you be so sure she auditioned and wasn't sought out by the director? Or other cast members? Maybe she stipulated at the start that she wouldn't participate in scenes like that, and the director was ok with it.

But I blame the director for that. He decided to keep the shot and use CGI.

I'm pretty sure there are many cases of this happening in movies, but they would do stuff to cheat it like fade to black, change the camera angle, get different actors to do it (with the lips zoomed in), etc. I've seen plenty of shitty chick flicks with my wife and her friends to notice some of these things. Though I wasn't aware of a kiss being CGI'd before.

My wife and I watched the movie a few days ago, it's funny but the last 10 minutes feels so rushed and almost like a reshoot because they weren't happy with whatever original ending they had.

Eddie Murphy basically gets the typical character change where he becomes a better person at the end of the movie, meanwhile his wife in the movie is just 1000% bitch all the way through.

The movie sucked but they kiss a few times in the movie.

Something I hadn't considered, the scene is a wedding kiss.
Any other kiss she's done was not in the context of a wedding scene.

It could just be respect for her desk husband that she won't even fake a wedding kiss.

im not saying her trauma/conflict over her husband's death isn't valid, but how is that not even contracted from the start

nude scenes, kisses, etc., isnt all this stuff like negotiated before you even get in the door? hell even if youre down to final auditions or a short list i have to imagine youre at least aware of the requirements by that point
