First time watching the sport even.

We had our own Swedish studio and commentators tho, and they didn't show any of the US ads but otherwise it was most of it.

Match started 12:30am here in Sweden, I fell asleep before the halftime show and caught the last of Rhianna, then fell asleep again so I missed the last stuff.

But it was still interesting, and fun to learn a bit how the sport works even if I didn't really understand everything.

Were you able to follow what was going on for the most part? Do you think it qould be more exciting if you knew the rules? Did you still get good commercials?

Aside from Football (soccer), what sports are most popular in Sweden?

Yeh I got the basics, there are some terms I dont understand, and I dont understand when they can kick the ball in when its not after touchdown. Ot was fun to learn by watching, and the sport was more exciting than I thought. Nah we got our own basic crap ads.

Im not a sports guy I barely watch anything but hockey is one, tennis somewhat especially now that we have a new rising star, but its not that popular to watch I think. We like wintersports, skiing and especially biathlon.

As I understand it (I don't watch football, but my dad and one of my HS friends talked about it a lot), you can kick a field goal whenever you want. Its usually just a strategic decision based on whether or not they can score a touch down before having to give possession over to the other team.

the presence of the ball just seems like a weird excuse when the whole thing is about watching big dudes crash into eachother
